A cross-pollination combining elements of the British woodland and a Japanese aesthetic have been applied. The exquisite, complimentary coloured washes gently bleed into one another and are overlaid with a subtle Japanese design. Hand-drawn, painted flowers, bold and delicate are scattered across the surface, thus evoking the joy of walking along a woodland path; the turquoise representing the water, after rain, which lies on the surface of the grass.
This colourway is very evocative of woodlands in the spring which are often ablaze with colour, in particular, red rhododendrons.
